Welcome to my library blog! I’m relatively new to this whole blog thing, so bear with me! I’m a little nervous, but excited about this new adventure!
Gwyneth Jones, aka The Daring Librarian, is a blogger, a Tweeter, an international speaker, a citizen of Social Media, and a resident of Second Life. Gwyneth is a Google Certified Teacher, DEN Star, an elected member of the ISTE Board of Directors, and the author of the award winning Daring Librarian blog. Jones was named a Visionary Leader by Teacher Librarian Magazine and a Mover & Shaker by Library Journal Magazine. Her work & writings have been featured in the New York Times, The Washington Post, and the Huffington Post. Admittedly, she’s also a goofball, a geek, and ridiculously humble.
Full-time children’s librarian in a suburb of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Spends time blogging about children’s literature and creating new programs to get kids engaged with reading and encouraging them to become lifelong library lovers. Award winner for best practices and new librarian honors. 2014 ALA Emerging Leader.
Tiffany Whitehead, aka the Mighty Little Librarian, is an obsessive reader, social media user, and technology geek. She is the library media specialist at Central Middle School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Tiff earned her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and School Library Certification from Southeastern Louisiana University and her graduate degree in Educational Technology Leadership from Northwestern State University. She is the President of ISTE’s SIGLIB (Special Interest Group for Librarians) and is currently serving on the AASL Best Apps for Teaching & Learning Committee. Tiffany is National Board Certified in Library Media and was named one of the 2014 Library Journal Movers & Shakers.
